The Barbican in London is celebrating japanese fashion designers with the exhibit Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion

Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion is the first exhibition in Europe to comprehensively survey avant-garde Japanese fashion, from the early 1980s to the present.

Ikon presents a survey of woodblock prints by eighteenth century Japanese artist Kitagawa Utamaro from the collection of the British Museum. This exhibition focuses on images of women, in particular the courtesans of Yoshiwara, the regulated brothel district in Edo (now Tokyo)
